This weekend I finished up with the amount of detail I wanted in the sculpt. I finished retopo and UVs. Doing UDIMs for this guy. Began texturing. Finished the body, eyes, and gums. Tomorrow I with finish texturing the teeth and claws. I want to try and see what a little bit of emissions will do for the eye texture. I will also be texting some look dev in Arnold to see if the textures will need adjustments.


This is my low poly. Approved my rigger.


WIP of the textures. Still needed: Teeth, Tongue, and claws.

So, I decided to model the skeleton and muscles for a more accurate simulation. Also, the rigger, Darcy Leeman already has the preliminary rig on the skin. I am just needing to name and UV these parts here. I can give them to her tomorrow. These won't need to be textured really. Just going to slap on a pretty shader for the breakdown. Feeling pretty good about where I am right now. As Darcy is rigging the wolf, I will be starting the first pass of the fur groom in Houdini. Will have that for midterms on Monday.


The eye texture will be done up with some high-res iris textures I have acquired.
