There was a significant amount of troubleshooting today as well as progress. There were hitches with exporting the displacement map. I had wanted to get to the Houdini groom tonight but fixing the displacement consumed a lot of time. My computer was having an unusual amount of trouble tonight. But it's okay, I still got something done. I tested my textures out in Arnold and did some preliminary lighting.
Also, my muscles and skeleton are finished and here they are in Arnold. Darcy Leeman, the rigger on this project, has made an extraordinary amount of progress in nearly a day. Thrilled about that!

First pass of the Houdini fur groom! After some experimenting, I have decided to do it in parts to make it more manageable.
These are just preview renders out of Houdini mantra with no color map. I will include a breakdown as I make more progress.
