Week 6

Blendshapes is where I made dramatic progress this week. I exported tons of both subtle and bold facial movements from zbrush to Maya. I made two different snarling expressions so that they could blend and make subtly different facial expressions. I also made progress in terms of look dev in Arnold. I add some SSS to the wolf's body and eyes. And I also worked on creating the best lighting to be both dramatic and showcase the work.

Additionally, I made changes with the fur groom, and I still have a list of adjustments I want to make for myself. I added a separate set of guides for the fly-aways. There are some areas on the face that I want to work on a little more. And I want to blend the body with the legs more seamlessly. After referring to references a little more, I have decided that the fur on the tail needs to be a touch longer as well. But with that said, I think I can make those changes in the next couple days and get on with texturing the fur. Then I want to test some renders out of Houdini as well as in maya Arnold.
